Visited our son and daughter-in-law this weekend and had time for one good run. Running (or walking) is the best way to explore a new area. We were in a suburb on the northeast side of Atlanta. My strongest impression is that of VERY BIG HILLS. I run hills at home, but these were in another league. Nice park on the way, with waterfalls and an old grist mill.

I am writing this to encourage everyone to throw your running gear / walking gear / or even biking gear if you’re driving,   when you visit another city or state.   It is too easy to let exercise slip for 3,4  5 or more days.  You will feel better, stay healthier and as I mentioned it is a great way to explore.  I especially like running in a new city.  It is the only time I can make myself get up early and run.  I have done it in San Francisco, Phildelphia and now Atlanta.  it is a great thing.
